Scea Operational Staff Enterprise Agreement 2018

Scea Operational Staff Enterprise Agreement 2018

Accommodation allowances apply to pension staff and nursing staff who have to sleep at work but do not have exclusive accommodation. Babysitters who need to provide first aid can request first aid for the first time. A tool allowance is paid to all skilled craftsmen who have to provide their own business means During the year, two new company agreements were successfully negotiated and agreed with the employees. The SCEA HR team has advised other organisations in the negotiation of company agreements. Finally, the goal of Innovation Grants is to promote experimentation – a new look at the normal way of doing things – in order to improve outcomes for children, employees and parents throughout the association. In 2015, two innovation grants were awarded to test an Excel system (EXpert, Collaborative Learning) that, regardless of the school they attend, could give students access to experienced teachers from across our association and implement MinecraftEDU in the Grade 7 room of Swan Christian College. The Multi-Enterprise Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2017 was approved on 23 March 2017 and will therefore also start from 30 March 2017. In line with the declared desired result of committed teachers, excellent in Christian education, a number of improvements have been made to teacher performance evaluations. Christian particularities as well as the AITSL Classroom Continuum have been integrated, which makes it possible to better adapt the assessments to the overall expectations of our teachers. The Union thanked the members for their patience in awaiting the approval of the agreements. Click here for payroll tables.

SALARY INCREASES Support and company staff receive a salary increase of 2.5% for each year from the MEA. Some staff members receive slightly higher increases – levels 2 and 3 of maintenance and field staff and some classifications for babysitters. The Union considers that the increase in wages is a good result for members of the current economic environment where inflation is low. BACKPAY The Teachers MEA expressly provides that the difference between the 2017 MEA rate and the rate that the teacher actually received during that period (i.e. the additional payment) must be paid as soon as possible after the start of the new MEA. Although the MEA is not so specific to support staff, it is said that the 2.5% salary increase will apply from 1 February 2017 and that we expect schools not to treat auxiliary staff less generously than teachers when it comes to the additional payment. NORMAL HOURS AND WORK PENALTIES Please feel free to call the union if you have any questions about the implementation of the new MEA in your school. The Aspirin Christian Educator Scholarship is a one-year scholarship for students in their final year of graduation.

In addition to a financial reward, tutoring and internship opportunities, grantees receive a conference fee to attend up to two AV Christian Education conferences. Three Christian Educator Aspirin (ACE) scholarships were awarded to students from last year in 2015. Each beneficiary has completed at least one of their internships in an SCEA school. Three of the seven ACE Fellows from 2014 and 2015 now work at an SCEA school. SCEA is dedicated to both SCEA teachers and eight SCEA teachers have been assisted in their studies to a Christ-centered Master of Education by the Tabor College of Higher Education. . . .
